GSOA Response to the Consultation Framework for the Licensing of Satellite-Based ISPs

GSOA thanks the Turks and Caicos Islands Telecommunications Commission (Commission) for the opportunity to comment on the Consultation Framework for the Licensing of Satellite-Based Internet Service Providers (Framework). GSOA commends the Commission for its recognition of the benefits satellite connectivity can bring to residents and visitors in the Turks and Caicos Islands and its commitment to facilitating satellite connectivity through the establishment of a regulatory framework for satellite operations. GSOA and its members look forward to working with the Commission in developing this Framework.
GSOA generally supports the establishment of a regulatory framework for satellite operations in the Turks and Caicos Islands and advocates for the development of an enabling framework to facilitate operator entry,  increased consumer choice, and affordability. GSOA provides below specific feedback on questions posed by the Commission.
