GSOA Contribution URCA Second Round of Consultation for the Satellite Regulatory Framework

GSOA thanks the Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA) for the opportunity to provide feedback on the responses submitted to the first-round consultation on the “Regulatory Framework for Satellite-based Electronic Communications Services in The Bahamas ECS 75/2024” (‘First Consultation Document’). GSOA commends URCA for its commitment to establishing a fair regulatory environment for satellite connectivity by recognizing, first and foremost, the benefits it can bring to residents and visitors of The Bahamas. GSOA and its members look forward to continuing the dialogue with URCA on the additional proposals that will be published following the conclusion of this second round.
