GSOA Response to UKE’s Consultation on the Use of the 26 GHz and 42 GHz Bands

As the unified voice of the satellite industry, GSOA is pleased to provide its comments on UKE’s consultation on the use of the 26 GHz and 42 GHz bands for the purposes of 5G networks deployment.
The present consultation aims at identifying market demand by collecting input from interested parties on how to use the 26GHz and 42GHz bands in Poland. Following an earlier consultation launched by UKE in 2020, which showed significant limitations in the availability of the required systems and equipment for the commercial launch of 5G services, UKE decided to re-open the discussion on allocating frequencies in the said bands for mobile services after 2023.
