Tech women in Space: paving the way for Gen Next
World Space Week is a UN-Declared celebration of space held annually, between 4th and 10th October. It is the largest space event, with over 8.000 events reported in 2019 and held in 96 countries. These events are organised by thousands of organisations, including space agencies, aerospace companies, astronomy clubs and museums.
This year the theme is Women in Space.
SIA-India, a young and vibrant association created to represent the “space” ecosystem in India, is supporting this event. We have a panel discussion by eminent women speakers who have made a mark for themselves in the space tech/business/
This panel talks about the immense opportunities created by the opening up of the space economy bu the Gol. WIth the Indian industry gearing up to take its place as a world leader in “Space”, the wide choice of career options make this a very exciting place to be in.

SIA-India is a non-profit association created to represent the interests of the communication satellite ecosystem in India. As a vibrant body, SIA-India represents satellite operators, satellite systems, launch vehicles and ground and terminal equipment manufacturers as well as application solutions providers to the Government, Regulators, Policymakers, and domestic and international standards bodies. As the apex representative body for the satellite communications ecosystem, we aim to present the industry’s interest to the highest Government levels for policy-making and regulatory and licensing matters.
